Sara has had the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from a 30k concept house for the under–privileged to an embassy compound in Papua New Guinea.  Her passion for detail has helped her adapt the firm's tradition of craft from our residential work to other sectors, helping to ensure that the K+S tradition of the art of detailing remains present as we grow into significantly larger scales of work.

She received her MARCH from Columbia University in 2000 and her BS in Architecture from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee in 1996.  In 2000 Sara joined Smith Miller + Hawkinson Architects where she worked for 3 years on a variety of projects from residential to institutional.  In 2003 she joined Krueck + Sexton where she had the opportunity to learn under the leadership of Ron and Mark on the construction of the Transparent House II. That experience led her into the design & management of the firm's more recent residential projects and into her passion for detailing & collaborating with the craftsmen who build our projects.

Sara is currently working on projects as part of the firm's 5–year contract within the State Department Design Excellence program.
